Offered for an appreciating new owner is this rare classic 1972 BMW Bavaria sedan! Finished in "Polaris silver" over navy blue, this 47 year-old specimen has been driven just over 55,000 original miles as shown on it's working five-digit odometer! It is STRONGLY believed to be original miles! This E3-chassis sedan, the four-door saloon version of the much more expensive E39 3.0CS coupe, sports a n excellent running 180 horsepower 3.0 liter inline six cylinder engine with rebuilt dual Weber carbs mated to the factory 4 speed manual transmission with stopping power provided by four-wheel disc brakes. This exemplary 99.99% rust-free example features the factory electric sunroof, trunk-mounted tool kit, air conditioning, original spare wheel and tire, roll-up manual windows, original "bus" steering wheel, 14" wheels with factory hubcaps, period correct Sanyo cassette stereo, BMW Sisal mats, rear headrests, power steering and more. MECHANICALLY THIS CAR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION with recent carb rebuild, new brake calipers, center support, valve adjustment and more! THE BODY AND TRIM...............
This exterior of this 1972 Bavaria is in GOOD, DRY, CLEAN 99.99% RUST-FREE CONDITION overall with VERY nice chrome bumpers and trip pieces and a decent overall shine to the older original-color repaint. While it is nearly 100% RUST-FREE [VERY important!] the paint shows much fading and light cracking with various minor nicks, scratches, and other cosmetic blemishes on this beautiful E3 sedan!

THE INTERIOR.................
As I hope is articulated in the photos, the interior of this 1972 Bimmer is AMAZINGLY ORIGINAL CONDITION overall with nearly ALL controls and gauges in perfect working order. Imperfections inside the car include torn original shift boot, a/c not blowing cold, crack-free dash, the ac is not blowing cold, the electric motor on the sunroof makes sound but is not sliding the sunroof which slides manually and the clock keeps perfect time only twice daily! The original trunk liner material is still virgin intact and the tool kit is beautiful with one small crack on the face. The jack and original spare are in place as well. Overall this is one VERY NICE and remarkably original open and airy classic cockpit!

THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE...........
This classic E3 sedan starts easily with very strong running engine, solid shifting 4 speed transmission, excellent straight and true braking and quite tight and EXTREMELY SUPPLE SUSPENSION and responsive steering.
