Vehicle Description
This two-owner 1956 GMC GMC 100 deluxe cab pickup with a big rear window is a half-ton, short-bed stepside truck powered by its original matching-numbers 270ci inline-6 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. It has undergone a documented frame-off rotisserie restoration retaining its original body panels, and is finished in Indian Red with show-plated chrome, a Colombian purpleheart hardwood bed, new polished stainless-steel bed mounting kit and a gold tailgate logo. Underneath it's been electrostatically powder-coated and feature new bushings, rubber stops, drag links, shackles and heavy-duty gas shocks. It's equipped with a stock exhaust manifold with dual aluminum pipes, new brake system with valve regulator, power booster, dual-reservoir master cylinder and parking brake, and new chrome Rally wheels with reproduction center caps and Firestone radial tires. Both the power brakes and power steering have been rebuilt, and the truck was fitted with a new 12-volt electrical system and wiring harness with a hidden fuse box. Inside the cab, the original factory seat frame has been rebuilt with black pleated seating and padding. The interior features herringbone belts, headliner, door armrests, heavy jute carpeting and interior underlayment, restored original steering wheel, factory radio delete plate and new speakers. The truck has new vent window frames and all-new reproduction glass, including the new wraparound windshield and optional big rear and side windows, and new weatherstripping, seals, channels and felts.
