Used 1964 Triumph TR4 for sale in Stratford, CT

A rare find.....one family ownership car (from Florida), no rust, repainted once, and in wonderful 'original' condition, Beautiful black with red interior, choice of steel, alloy or wire wheels (chrome or painted available), good top and new tonneau, very good wood dashboard, twin 40 DCOE Webers, chrome rocker cover, original radio, nice, clean car. Interior looks to be fairly new (or near mint original) and is in very good condition, panels, seats, and carpets. Our tests: compression is 145-155 psi, no smoke cold or hot, 75-90 psi oil pressure. Quiet valves, no bearing noises on a cold start up, gearbox works perfectly, same with brakes, carbs were a mess when it arrived and now professionally redone, wiring looks very good, not a speck of rust in the trunk floor, sills and chassis rails look very good, same with floor pans, very clean engine bay, even the chrome (original?) is very good. A quick, esthetically very nice car that offers a roomy interior with 2+2 seating capability, roomy trunk, superior handling and steering to a TR3 and real classic style. As much as TR3s and MGA are contemporary 'rivals,' in a way, TR4s are similar in use to early MGBs. Well, maybe the TR4s are half a step up on the food chain with advantages such as a larger displacement, more powerful engine, all synchromesh transmissions (TR4s has 'em in 1962, Bs not until 1968), and a bit more interior room. And a very classic appeal with the wood dashboard. This car came in, started up instantly, no the slightest whiff of smoke, took it down the road and gotta say, acceleration was spectacular (better now with both carb working together). Its 2.2 liter engine, in this case with twin 40 DCOE Webers, pulls like a.....VERY strong little sports car. Impressive. And beautiful.
