Vehicle Description
I am making available my 2010 Subaru Forester XS Limited at 238k miles. I have well cared for this vehicle, keeping up with regularly scheduled maintenance throughout its life. It is mechanically in very good condition, and has never broken down. If you are familiar with Subarus, you well know their reliability. In the past ten years of driving Subarus, I have never once experienced a mechanical issue from manufacturing or wear.
This Forester is a Limited, meaning it has leather seats and a large moonroof. The seats fold down completely, enabling great interior space. The windows are aesthetically and professionally tinted gray, which complements its silver exterior paint. I am from out West, and as such, the windshield exhibits normal wear from living out West. The rear bumper of the Forester has minor damage from backing into a tree at 2-3mph at 4am in, you guessed it, the forest. I have lived with it, and it has presented no mechanical issues, as it was just a little bump in the forest.
In April 2021, I replaced the car battery, and is in excellent condition to last years. I have recently (May 2021) replaced the timing belt OEM from Subaru ($800) — a sizable regular maintenance — and it will not require another timing belt for at least 92,000 miles, likely a little longer should you choose. On 5/28/22, I replaced the spark plugs OEM from Subaru ($750), and these should last the rest of the car’s life. All maintenance outside of oil changes (every 5k miles max) has been done at Subaru dealerships — no random garages have touched this Subaru. The brakes are good, as are the tires, which were purchased at around 209k miles. With a little less than 30k miles in, the tires are at their half life and have great traction. I always keep up with rotation of tires to minimize uneven wear and extend their life. Differential fluid was last replaced 4/15/22. The tire pressure light is presently on, but has not presented me with any issue. I do not know the code for this light. It drives perfectly. I am throwing in tire chains free of charge for the Winter, as well as spare tire and tire jack.
Asking $4,000 firm. Please reserve email inquiries on “lowest” or “best” price to others’ listings. Built into this fair market value price is approximately $1,500 in OEM Subaru regular maintenance that will last, as mentioned above, about 100k miles. This, coupled with the condition of the brakes and tires, makes the asking price extremely fair in our present market. This car is in very good condition, and will take care of you, as you kindly take care of it.
Title is clean and in hand.
Thank you!
