2010 BMW 535i xDrive M-Sport 6 speed manual Wagon in Jet Black over Black Dakota Leather. Equipped with M-Sport, Premium, and Value Packages. The car was acquired by the current and second owner from BMW Financial Services NA out of North Hollywood, CA in 2013 with 39,000 miles. The car currently has 156,800 miles, with most of these coming on the highway as a result of work travel.
The heart of this car, the N54 turbocharged 3L proper BMW straight 6, has been upgraded with the first stage 3 system fitted by Dinan to a E61 Touring in the US. This car visited Dinan HQ several times as part of its travels. It includes an upgraded exhaust/resonator and ECU tuning. Quoted horsepower from Dinan is 398 hp and 429 ft lbs. Other supporting modifications include a coil pack system from Precision Race Works, K&N air filter, and NGK spark plugs. Power is put to the wheels through a 6 speed manual transmission.
With the Jet Black paint, aftermarket tinted windows, Shadowline M-sport trim and aerodynamic pack, and 19” VMR wheels this car looks stunning. To enhance this, the car has been treated to cosmetic touch ups last year to the tune of $6K at 153k miles. This includes: Front bumper, hood, rear hatch, rear bumper wrap to wheels getting paint. The wheels have been taken to an alloy specialist to be checked for balance and straightness. Other exterior features include a power tailgate with separately opening rear window, Adaptive Xenon headlights with Corona rings, and a massive panoramic sunroof.
The cockpit welcomes with Black Dakota Leather on the M-Sport multi contour heated seats and interior. Additional driver comforts include keyless locks and ignition, heated steering wheel, rear side window shades, auto dimming mirrors, and premium hi-fi audio system. For control BMWs iDrive is at the core of the vehicles systems including: Navigation, BMW Assist w/BT, HD radio, Check Control, Park Distance Control, auto high beams, TPMS, Coded Driveway Protection,
A recent list of updates documents continuous attention by the owner to keeping up on maintenance. Full documentation for all service is provided with the sale. Significant recent work includes:
-New pads & rotors 06/19 140k
-New Interstate Battery 12/15/20 152k
-New inner/outer tie rods and alignment, front diff service, upper rad hose and coolant flush, BMW battery tender installed 12/22/20 153k
-New windshield washer pump and cabin filter 9/2/21 156k
While the car is good to go as-is, there are a few known issues that are still on the to-do list for the future. Recent service has turned up an oil leak at the valve cover. The valve cover bolts were found to be under torque spec and were re-torqued. This should be monitored. The right side kidney bolster on the driver’s seat is not operating. Also there is a boost code most likely related to the increased boost of the Dinan tune. And due for the next regular service there is a gas tank vent that should be replaced.
Bottom line this is a unicorn of a wagon that just isn’t made anymore.
