Vehicle Description
This Eurovan is perfect for weekend camping trip getaways and comes with many new custom upgrades! With only 114,500 miles, you will have trouble finding a Eurovan with an interior better condition. After sitting in a prior owner’s driveway for nearly a decade, we purchased this van from a seller who was not interested in putting in the mechanical work to put it back into prime condition. So we did. We were seeking a pandemic project, and purchased 'Melvan' to fix up and adventure in a few times this summer, and now that he's revitalized and ready to go, he's looking for a new owner! Interior is in great condition, as well as the pop top. Can plug phones in for audio, have trunk screen set for buggy days, and the additional seat if you prefer that over storage shelves!
The basics:
The “Weekender” version seats up to seven, has a poptop with bed that can be raised to provide standing room whenever needed, has fold down back seats for an extra bed that can sleep up to three, a large snap-in screen across the trunk for protection from bugs when you want to leave the rear gate open, and has a “living room” table that folds up between the rear facing seats and the back seat.
The poptop is in great shape, with one small cut in the canvas near the right rear struts. We have had no problems with leaks. The window zippers work great and the window provides perfect views from the poptop bed.
There are several small rust spots on the exterior paint that have been touched up over the years but overall, very little rust for a Eurovan this age. When we bought it, it ran rough (it had been sitting in a driveway unused for around a decade) and we’ve made a TON of upgrades to ensure that this van runs great (see below for mechanical upgrades). You will not find a Eurovan with this many recently upgraded and replaced parts.
Interior upgrades:
Comes with several non-mechanical upgrades including a new maple butchers block tabletop to replace the old fiberglass table, a bin shelving unit behind the passenger seat (which can be removed and replaced with the 7th seat), and an AV phone connector chord so you can listen to Spotify on the road from the vintage tape deck stereo!
Mechanical and other upgrades Highlights: (I have full records of ALL work done on the van since purchase).
• New Front Axles
• New brake pads
• New radiator and coolant hoses
• New transmission cooler
• New serpentine belts and other belts
• New power steering
• New AC unit
• Fuel injectors, fuel line replacement, new fuel pump
• New tie rod assemblies and ball joints
