Please see very hard to find 1984 VW GTI Silver on Blue. MK1 $3500 Cash only.
These are getting harder to find without paying big $$$$$$
This was a project for my son and I, sadly our timing is just not working out, hate to let it go. As you know this has become very desirable to the true VW German car enthusiast. While this is far from a perfect Bring a Trailer unit at $20-$40k this is a no rust solid bone car. These are bringing big dollars now. 5 Speed gear box with an odometer showing 147K miles.
You will need a trailer to transport. The motor was running when I purchased it 10 years ago but had a stuck lifter. I have spare heads and some spare parts that go with it. It has vented rotors, a lower tubular bolt on cradle, upper strut bar and a very nice well fit stainless exhaust.
Factory Snowflake wheels and I do have 6 very period correct 15x8 wheels for an additional $1000 can go with the car. The pictures with the red test fit wheel is the example. No sunroof Car.
You will need to be a good wrench and a knowledgeable person to build this project. It will be awesome someday when finished as the prices are just going to keep escalating. I want this to go to the right person as I also grew up with one of these as a kid.
The interior is dirty but it is all there. The car is a no rust car/ tub and all original panels. The entire car is here nothing has been chopped or torn apart other than the A-hole who stole the stereo. Factory center console, dash and gauges all in great condition. The car has been lowered 2 inches, not sure of the lowering springs or kit.
Factory Recaro GTI Seats in the dark blue with stripes, all original factory seats, panels and interior.
Please note this is a project for the serious VW person with nothing but upside going forward. I am not finding one anywhere for sale on Craig's. Parts are also readily available to easily restore this.
