1964 Chevrolet Biscayne station wagon
I have owned this car since August of 2001.
The car was repainted its original color of ember red in the summer of 2012. The 283 emblems on the fenders were shaved along with the Biscayne emblems on the rear 1/4 panels also the Chevrolet script on the rear gate. Single stage PPG paint was used. The door jambs are still original paint.
The interior features seat covers done by Ciadella. The covers have 1963 Impala cloth inserts with red vinyl surround. The door panels were reproduced by SMS Auto fabrics and are the Biscayne pattern. New star print headliner and visors. Under the new carpet the entire floor was covered with sound deadening material. New windshield. New window gaskets and weatherstrip.
The wheels are 14x6 chrome reversed with spider caps. The tires have under 1000 miles on them. Power drum brakes. The brakes were recently done along with new lines and cylinders. 605 power steering box.
The engine and transmission have around 7000 miles on them. The engine is a 283 and the transmission is a powerglide. The engine was a stock rebuild. The intake manifold and Carter WCFB are from a 1963 250hp 327. Pertronix ignition module. The powerglide is original to the car. The differential has also been rebuilt.
The front and rear suspension components have been rebuilt, there is also an adjustable panhard bar in the rear. The air suspension features 3/8" electric air valves, 3/4 hp compressor and a 6 gallon tank. A 78 amp has been added to keep up with the compressor's needs.
