Vehicle Description
Selling my 1959 Volkswagen Beetle. Very rare to find a pre-1960 Bug in great driver+ condition.
Originally a South Dakota car. Original owner believed to still be living (in his late 90's), but cant get ahold of him.
Completely rebuilt 1300 engine with electronic ignition (see below)
New correct tires (including spare) mounted on 1967 5x100 wheels (less than 100 miles)
New interior
Body off pan restoration done to driver standard
ENGINE:
12v neg ground
new carb
new sleeves
1300 motor
orig air filter
50lbs oil pressure at idle (per builder)
Divorced oil pump kit
Pistons, rings, valves, case line bored
elec ignition
Starts instantly. Runs excellent.
BODY
New Period correct steel fenders (OEM Brazil)
Body off pan repaint
Interior repainted
REPAIRS: floor pan at battery , air end caps rusted off in back, replaced
Restored 10 years ago.
NEEDS:
Transmission seal at axle leak on passenger side.
Headliner behind back shelf below rear window
